Dynamic Load Monitoring (UK) Ltd, based in Nursling, volunteered for local charity Mountbatten Hospice, by collecting Christmas trees for recycling all over Southampton. When the team at DLM are not picking up Christmas trees, they are specialists in the design, manufacture, repair and calibration of load cells and load monitoring equipment.
Successfully supplying load cells and equipment for more than 20 years, DLM have proven to be industry leaders in finding a solution to load monitoring requirements. Internationally known for unprecedented high quality products, DLM are also recognised world leaders in the design and manufacture of load pins for the Offshore and Subsea industries. In addition the company supplies both the Oil & Gas industry and the Renewables sector, as well as the Lifting and Rigging industry. DLM have been a key support for many sustainable projects including the weighing of turbine blades with DLM’s latest TW3.0 products at MHI Vestas local facility in Fawley, and designing and manufacturing bespoke load monitoring software for installation at the London Array Windfarm.
This small family run business prides itself on a few core principles; a hard work ethic, sustainable procedures and first class customer service. Late last year, DLM were asked to help and support in a mid-January fundraising event for Mountbatten Hospice. Their Corporate Fundraiser, Rachel Rawlings, approached local businesses with large vehicles to help pick up Christmas trees from the side of the road all around the Southampton area. The dynamic team including Managing Director, Martin Halford, Operations Manager, Nick Fayle, and Marketing Assistant, Jodie Donelan, were all eager to show their support and jumped at the chance of volunteering for the Hospice.
Over the course of two days the DLM team drove all over Southampton showing willingness for a great cause. Rachel Rawlings said “the team at DLM were invaluable last week, helping with our first ever Christmas tree collection. They collected more than 60 trees across 2 days, helping Mountbatten Hampshire to raise a fantastic £1200, which will go such a long way towards supporting patients going through end of life care and their families from the local area. We really couldn’t have done it without them and look forward to hopefully working together again next year on an even bigger collection!”
